Background

Established in the year 2004, the campus is located at Agarpara. At present, 290 students are pursuing various courses offered (230 Male & 60 Female) and includes 3 foreign students. A Faculty comprising 16 professors, Asst. Professors, Sr. Lecturers, and Lecturers assists the students with State of Art equipments.

Hostel Accommodation is available for all aspirants. At present, the monthly hostel cost (Board & Lodging) is approximately Rs. 2,750/-.

Course offered

The School of Management Studies is an autonomous part of this Institute, solely involved in imparting quality education in graduate and post graduate management studies. SMS-NIT was founded in 2002, with the objective to provide computer application courses in undergraduate level -BBA (H) - (90 seats) and to create opportunities for technical and engineering graduates to pursue a MBA - (60 seats) degree. However, career aspirants from all streams including working professionals are enrolled in the programme.

 

• Bachelor in Business Administration BBA (H) - (90 seats)
  Eligibility:The applicant must be an Indian citizen, having passed/ appeared at the Higher Secondary Examination in the General or Vocational Stream of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Board. Candidates applying for admission should have English as one of the subjects at the 10+2 level. The admission of the candidate would be subject to clearing as per guidelines of affiliated University.
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA) - (60 seats)
  Eligibility: 10+2+3or equivalent in any stream from any recognized University in India. Also students need have a valid MAT/WBJEMAT score to be eligible for GD & PI.
