The JIS Group Educational Initiatives is a professional body that is recognized for its research initiatives
and pioneering links with business and industry.
All our institutions enjoy an excellent reputation locally, nationally and internationally for the quality of its research activities. We are committed to an interdisciplinary approach that supports research across different academic areas and which is essential to the Group's culture of enterprise and development.
Research and innovation underpins our teaching and ensures the rigour and quality of all our courses. This ensures that our students body benefits from outstanding teaching, in an environment which is conducive to discovery and new ways of thinking. Our relationships with public and private sector organizations are strong; whether working with a regional SME to improve their competitive edge or collaborating in several national research programmes.
We see a strong synergy between applied research and enterprise, enabling impressive knowledge transfer between academia and business, industry and the community through consultancy, funded projects, training, conferences and research.
Every institute has several well qualified faculty members in each discipline who are engaged in research and industrial consultancy besides teaching. Many faculty members have delivered keynote lectures, participated in seminars, presented research papers in National and International Conferences and attended workshops in Kolkata and other parts of India.
