INFRASTRUCTURE

All our Institutes have well equipped library, computer centre, seminar halls, lecture hall complexes, various laboratories in different departments, workshops, hostels for accommodating students, health care centre and adequate facilities for sports, games and cocurricular activities. Institutes have a network of libraries consisting of digital library, LIBSYS and a conventional library of books, journals and bound volumes. The computer centers have all the relevant software packages and latest computers with internet facilities.The challenge that we have set for ourselves is to encourage, empower and inspire these students to achieve highest standards of academic excellence.

Classroom to Attend Lecture & Participation

The main purpose of the Classroom teaching is to provide students with foundational knowledge of a wide range of pedagogical theories, ideas, and practices. One of the main goals is to help students become reflective practitioners, viewing their classrooms as sites for ongoing research into their own subjects and assessment in order to increase student learning and understanding. In Classroom, students have the opportunity to investigate, experience, and apply effective assessment, teaching, and learning techniques, improve their participation in ways that meaningfully enhance their learning.

Our smart classrooms in all the campuses are equipped with hi-tech seating, education delivery, audio-visual equipments such as White Board, LCD projector, Digital storage device along with DVD / CD player.

Library to Enhance Knowledge

A library is the knowledge hub of any academic institution. Our institutions encourage all students and staff members to make best use of the library that has been carefully built up since the inception of the college. The central Library housed in a spacious area, is fully computerized and modern setup with large volume of books, journals & periodicals. (Over 2 lacs books with seating capacity of more than 2000 students) The College is also a member of British Council Library. Newspapers, Weekly and Fortnightly magazines of repute are subscribed to enable the students to keep abreast of day to day trends. The delightfully peaceful ambience is a haven where study becomes a pleasure and where learning and research are in absolute harmony. Our library also subscribes different Indian and Foreign journals and periodicals for keeping the students and faculty abreast with the latest developments in engineering fields.

Students can lend 5 books for studying through out the semester from our 'book bank' facility & can take 2 books for daily reading. We have hundreds of e-journal & magazines for up-to-date information to the students. Our Libraries are also member of the Indian National Library so that staff, faculty & students get access of innumerable information.

Auditorium for Extra-curricular Activities

M.TECH students need to participate at seminar, group discussion, and symposium to enhance their knowledge & skill about latest happening in the related industry. At JIS College of Engineering, we have seminar hall with seating capacity of 550 people Narula Institute of Technology has a seminar hall with seating capacity of 350 people and Guru Nanak Institute Technology has a seminar hall with 300 people seating capacity. These places are utilized for conducting seminars, presentations by eminent personalities and industry professionals. These are also utilized for different competition like debate; quiz etc. as part of students' extra-curricular activities.

Language Lab for Learning Global Communication

The main objective of English Language Lab is to help students learn how to better communicate their thoughts and ideas to other people. Our effective programmes have been designed to give students the linguistic and communicational skills, as well as the confidence, to compete globally. As mentioned earlier, our English Language Lab provides a thorough grounding in the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. On successful participation in language lab classes, students are able to communicate and interact effectively.

Computer Labs for data Analysis, Programming & Research

All our Institutes offering M.Tech degree have state-ofthe- art Computer Labs. It is our endeavour to utilize all our computer resources very effectively so that students can get maximum benefit. Following are available in our computer labs:

Hostel & Accommodation for Feeling like Home

The hostel provides a pleasant environment to the students where they develop team spirit, patience and adaptability. In each of our Institutes we have separate hostel facilities for boys & girls. We ensure clean and comfortable accommodation in our hostels and ional provide round the clock security to facilitate a congenial environment for study. Recreational facilities for Indoor game and Audio and Television sets are provided in the hostels. The rooms are well furnished, airy, with attached bathrooms, proper house keeping facilities, and telephone facilities and are equipped with a number of other amenities.

Sports, Medical & Other facilities

Our Institutes encourage students to participate actively in several extra-curricular activities. The campus includes playgrounds and courts for outdoor games such as cricket, volleyball, badminton, basketball and tennis. Also, the students are encouraged to form cultural associations to improve their skills in music, elocution, debate, poetry, literature with a view to develop a pleasant personality. Most of our students participate in outdoor activities of their choice and also join yoga classes.

Emergency medical facilities are available for all our students and "First Aid" boxes are distributed at all our campuses and hostels. A modern gourmet class restaurant in each Institute offers variety of Indian, Chinese and Continental snacks and meals to cater to the multi-ethnic tastes of the students.
