All candidates with a valid rank in WBJEE / AIEEE will be allotted a seat through Central Selection Counselling. Admission to any of the twelve streams in engineering is as per the norms and guidelines of West Bengal University of Technology.

Optional Electives (Offered in the 7th to 8th Semester)

The Programme
Information and communication technology (ICT) play an important role in our daily activities. Courses on Computer Science and its applications are fast becoming one of the most sought after courses in India. An individual, who studies computer science at undergraduate level not only learns the software (language and programming etc) aspect of the computer but also learns the knowledge of operating systems, programming language, data base etc.

There are bright career prospects for computer science professionals and software professionals. With the opening of software and IT companies in India, the demand for trained professionals have increased considerably. Computer science graduates find job opportunities in academic institutions, research, industry, government, private and business organizations. They are involved in analyzing problems for solutions, formulating and testing, using advanced communications or multi-media equipment, or working in teams for product development.
