All candidates with a valid rank in WBJEE / AIEEE will be allotted a seat through Central Selection Counselling. Admission to any of the twelve streams in engineering is as per the norms and guidelines of West Bengal University of Technology.

The Programme

Electronics Engineering is one of the largest and fastest growing industries. It covers a wide range of applications we use daily and which make our life easier and enjoyable such as Television, Radio, computers, telecommunication etc. Telecommunication electronics comprises video-audio system, microwave system, satellite system, mobile radio system, radar system, fiber optics system, computer networking and digital and multimedia telecommunication systems. The student work with microprocessors, fiber optics, and in telecommunication, television, radio etc.

Job Prospects & Career Option

The main career opportunities for graduates are related to setting up telecommunication equipment, design of Telecommunication Equipment, Tele-communication network management, Micro-satellite system design, teaching telecommunication related subjects at educational agencies, contribute in R&D in multinational industries, local industries, small-scale industries, universities and local agencies like MIMOS and SIRIM, work in service industries, including telephone industry, multimedia industry, hospital, transportation, etc.
