BBA (H) graduates of the Business Administration Program meet and exceed the requirements of most business to expand their workforce. Students are well versed in both the practical and theoretical aspects of all business operations with additional specialization within a field of interest. The BBA (H) Degree prepares graduates to work in the Services, Financial, Accounting, Hospitality, Retailing, Wholesale and Manufacturing Industries and specifically aids those who wish to work in, or operate, their own small business.

Pursuing a career in business today means preparing the students for an ever-changing world, reaching into new markets, adopting new technologies and crossing the boundaries between traditional disciplines. Success in this environment depends, to a great extent, on the students' ability to be versatile, to communicate, to think globally and to be creative in applying business principles to new realities.

Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) is a 3 years full time course designed to develop the future leaders in the field of management and administration. The curriculum is framed keeping in mind the requirements of the industries in which the BBA (H) graduate get employed.

Diverse and scientific approach of the course deals in case studies and presentations that sharpen the skills of the students. The education offered through the program enables the students to deal with real-life situations in a better manner. Emphasis is given to both theoretical concepts and practical methods of learning.

Our BBA (H) graduates with a concentration in Marketing are experts in managing the marketing of products and services, market research, and relations with buyers. They pursue careers as market research analysts, product managers or advertising executives in marketing/publicity agencies. Graduates who specialize in Business Information Systems are adept at solving IT problems and are skilled in e-Business. They find jobs as IT project managers, administrative process analysts or systems integration managers.

The BBA (H) degree in Finance suitably equips a student for the pursuit of careers in banking, financial analysis and investment. Graduates in finance normally take up jobs with commercial banks, investment banking houses, insurance firms, accounting firms, management consulting firms, government agencies and large and small corporations with a BBA (H) from JIS Group of Colleges - the job prospects are excellent, whatever be one's specialty. More than 95% of BBA (H) graduates find employment. Whether at home or abroad, they find varied and highly stimulating jobs in key management areas. BBA (H) graduate with specialization in Insurance and Risk Management find employment as risk managers or analysts, insurance executives or investment and derivatives managers.

Upon graduation from the BBA (H) program, the students are able to:

Eligibility:
Candidates passed / appeared 10+2 with English as one of the subjects in the General or Vocational Stream of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or it's equivalent examination from a recognized University / Board. The Application must be an Indian citizen. The admission of the candidate would be subject to clearing as per guidelines of the Affiliated University.

The main purpose of the Classroom teaching is to provide students with foundational knowledge of a wide range of pedagogical theories, ideas, and practices. One of the main goals is to help students become reflective practitioners, viewing their classrooms as sites for ongoing research into their own subjects and self assessment. In Classrooms, students have the opportunity to investigate, experience, and apply effective assessment, teaching, and learning techniques, improve their participation in ways that meaningfully enhance their learning.

THE LIBRARY TO ENHANCE KNOWLEDGE

A library is the knowledge hub of any academic institution. Our institutions encourage all students and staff members to make best use of the library that has been carefully built up since the inception of the college. In the Management College Libraries, we have 20,000 books and about 153 journals.

The Colleges are also members of British Council Library. Newspapers, weekly and fortnightly magazines of repute are subscribed to enable the students to keep abreast of latest trends. The delightfully peaceful ambience is a haven where study becomes a pleasure and where learning and research are in absolute harmony.

Our libraries also subscribes different Indian and Foreign journals and periodicals for keeping the students and faculty abreast with the latest developments in management fields. The Library possesses a large number of books and different titles relevant to all the subjects in Management and Business studies.

THE AUDITORIUM FOR EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Management students need to participate at seminars, group discussions and attend symposiums to enhance their knowledge & skill sets.

There is a seminar hall with 200 seats at the Centre for Management Studies - JISCE. The School of Management Studies - NIT has seminar hall with 350 seating capacity. These places are utilized for conducting seminars, presentations by eminent personalities and lectures by industry professionals. These are also utilized for different competitions like debates; quiz competitions etc. as part of extracurricular activities.

LANGUAGE LAB FOR LEARNING GLOBAL COMMUNICATION

The main objective of English Language Lab is to help students learn how to better communicate their thoughts and ideas to other people. Our effective programmes have been designed to give students the linguistic and communicational skills, as well as the confidence, to compete globally. Our English Language Lab provides a thorough grounding in the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. On successful participation in language lab classes, students are able to communicate and interact effectively.

THE COMPUTER LABS FOR MIXING IT WITH BUSINESS

All the campuses of JIS Group offering BBA (H) have state-of-the-art Computer Labs. It is our endeavor to utilize all our computer resources very effectively so that students can get maximum benefit.

HOSTEL & ACCOMMODATION FOR FEELING LIKE HOME

The hostel provides a pleasant environment to the students where they develop team spirit, patience and adaptability. In each of our Institutes, we have separate hostel facilities for boys & girls. We ensure clean and comfortable accommodation in our hostels and provide round the clock security to facilitate a congenial environment for study. Recreational facilities for Indoor game and Audio and Television sets are provided in the hostels. The rooms are well furnished, airy, with attached bathrooms. Proper house keeping facilities, telephone facilities and also a number of other amenities are provided in the hostel.

SPORTS, MEDICAL & OTHER FACILITIES FOR RELAXING

In tune with the objective of all round development of students, various sporting and physical development activities are encouraged amongst students. To enable students to enjoy sports, the campus is equipped with a big size running track, football field, cricket field, basket ball & table tennis tables etc.

A well equipped Gym is available for regular exercise of students so that they can remain fit & healthy and can concentrate on studies.

Emergency medical facilities are available for our students. "First Aid" boxes are available at all campuses and hostels.

A modern gourmet class restaurant in each Institute offers variety of Indian, Chinese and continental snacks and meals to cater to the multi-ethnic tastes of the students.
